New analysis by the Liberal Democrats has revealed that some of Enfield’s buses are among the worst performing routes in London.

The W9 bus is in fact the worst performing bus for no-shows in the whole of the capital, with 21% of all scheduled services failing to depart at all between June and September 2023.

Meanwhile one in every five 456 buses show up too early or later than advertised, and the 217 bus has the longest average waiting times in London for a “high-frequency” service, with passengers waiting for an average of nine and a half minutes per arrival.

London Assembly candidate Guy Russo has called for TfL to launch an urgent review into the quality of service of Outer London buses. He has made it one of his key campaign priorities, vowing to “make the buses run on time”.
