Lib Dems continue the fight to save Chase Farm

9.00.03pm UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 4th Apr 2006

Lynne Featherstone, Lib Dem MP for Hornsey and Wood Green, has been asking questions in Parliament about the proposed closure of Chase Farm A&E. In response to Lynne's question to the Health Secretary asking what assessment she has made of the effects of closing down A&E, the Minister responded that "the department has made no assessment".

In contrast to Lib Dem action, local Tory and Labour MPs have not asked any questions in Parliament about the proposed closure.

Save Chase Farm

Council candidates Joanna Lamb and Dervish Mertcan are against the Chase Farm closure.

Rob Lambie, Edmonton Lib Dem spokesperson, said: "North Middlesex Hospital is already stretched and closure of any part of Chase Farm will put it under further pressure."
