Residents angry over badly thought-out CPZ's

Southgate residents have spoken out about their anger at Enfield Council's disregard of their views when implementing Controlled Parking Zones.

The residents of Blagdens Lane hoped that the new parking restrictions would prevent commuters from blocking their road, but instead the new rules mean that local shoppers and residents' guests are also prevented from parking.

Southgate Lib Dem spokesperson Joanna Lamb, commented that "this shows that the Council is not listening to the people of Southgate. The Liberal Democrats pledge to conduct a review of all CPZs in Southgate street by street, in consultation with residents."
